It was developed to serve the northern population of the City and is popular with patrons driving in from Warman, Martensville and other rural areas. The branch was named after long-standing library advocate and trustee, R.H. “Rusty” Macdonald.

How to use this Location
Make a trip to SPL a part of your day.
Located in the Lawson Civic Centre, which also features a public swimming pool, sauna and weight room, Rusty Macdonald Branch is a great part of our community.
Our custom built play kitchen has been a draw for over 25 years as community members grow with the library. Our wall of south-facing windows create a well-lit and welcoming environment to enjoy the newspaper or get some studying done. The nearby Henk Ruys Soccer Center is a popular location for soccer tournaments and the Lawson Heights Mall is just a short walk across the street. Rusty Macdonald is well positioned to provide support for many local schools, and we are always a great place to stop by after swimming lessons.
