Basic Description

Columbian Place is a 75-apartment facility in the Pleasant Hill neighbourhood.  It is located across the street from St. Mary's Church, one block from St. Paul's Hospital, and two blocks from the new Station 20 West complex.

Admissions and Costs

Applications must be completed and submitted to apply for residence in Columbian Place.  Apartments are rented on a month-to-month basis, and costs are as follows:

  • One-bedroom apartment: $668.00/month
  • Two-bedroom apartment: $880.00/month

Rent includes heat, water, and sewer charges.  Tenants are responsible for electricity (including air conditioning), telephone, and cable TV costs.  Washer and dryer hook-ups are available in every apartment.  There is also a free laundry room in the basement.

Restrictions

Residents must be at least 55 years of age to live at Columbian Place.  As it is affordable housing, your income must not exceed $44,500.00 per year for you to qualify.  No religious restrictions apply.  No pets are allowed.  No smoking is allowed in the building or on the grounds.

Suites

Columbian Place has 75 suites.  35 suites are one-bedroom, and 40 suites are two-bedroom.  Four suites are designed for residents who use wheelchairs.
