Ontario's archival information network, ARCHEION, is a searchable gateway
to online descriptions of archival fonds and collections found in archives
across Ontario.
The Archives of Ontario preserves the province's documentary heritage of
records created by both the Ontario government and the private sector. Land
records documenting the ownership of land, registrations of births, marriages
and deaths for Ontario can be found here.
Volunteers coordinate the collection of information in a hierarchical fashion
from national level to provincial/state/territorial level to county/rural
municipality/district level. Also includes links to USGenWeb Project and International
GenWeb sites, Chat Forum, and a site and teenagers.

Library and Archives Canada has one of the richest Canadian directory collections
in the world. This pilot project, a partnership with the Canadian Institute
of Historical Microreproductions (CIHM), has digitized fifteen pre-1901 city,
provincial and national directories so that users can search for names and
businesses online. The project includes the Regina Directory for 1885. Links
to other online Canadian directories are also included.
A collection of authoritative biographies of people who played an important
role in the formation of what is now Canada. The dictionary currently presents
persons who died between the years 1000 and 1920 or whose last known date
of activity falls within these years.
This used to be a magazine for Canada's researchers. While the magazine
no longer exists, there is excellent information here as well as an index
to previous issues that the Frances Morrison Branch Library of the Saskatoon
Public Library still owns.
This free magazine focuses on immigration and settlement of Canada as well
as providing general research information on countries from which Canadians
originated.

In order to monitor the population growth of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba
the Federal government conducted a special census of the Prairie Provinces
from 1906 until 1956. The Alberta
Family Histories Society is in the process of transcribing the 1906 census
records.Their web site allows you to search by name or place. This project
is ongoing and should not be considered complete.
This is a special site dealing with the historic record of Saskatoon such
as Fire Insurance maps, significant dates and other information about the
city. There are also excellent links to many genealogical sites beyond Saskatoon.

Created by the Scottish Archives Network, this database offers free access
to a fully searchable index of over 520,000 Scottish wills and testaments
dating from 1500 to 1901. SCAN also offers users the opportunity to order
high quality colour digital images of indexed documents for a fee. Included
is a wealth of information on performing genealogical research using wills
and testaments and interesting articles on what can be learned about the past
using the information contained in them.
